She’s so sick, and looks so awful, I chose an older picture of her for her last one. We’re taking her for her last trip to the vet in a couple of hours. I can’t even give her much in the way of special treatment – she can hardly eat, and she’s too uncomfortable to play, and she’s so thin and bony that a pile of laundry is a more comfortable spot for her than a lap. She will be missed.
So these two pretty babies came to me needing some one-on-one because they were so skittish still. I can’t take a lot of cats, because the rest of the household would strongly object, but a couple at a time works out fine. Get ready. . .

They are going to their new home on Friday – my parents came to visit and fell in love with them, so I’ll get to see them lots more. We’ve been calling them by their new names – Mandy for the tabby, Xena for the calico. Xena took a lot more effort than Mandy did, but they’re going into a home with no other pets and two doting adults, so there’s no question that they’ll be spoiled rotten and demanding laps and petting in no time at all.
