I have no idea why they did this. The rest of the fish are lined up the same way on the left, out of the picture. I tested the water, and everything was fine. After I tested, they all started swimming around, so I guess they just wanted me to stick my hand in the water or something.
Bears have nothing on this guy. Apologies to Stephen Colbert, but this is the ultimate Godless Killing Machine.
Worse still, he’s discovered that it’s kind of fun to bring his prey in through the dog door, often before it’s quite 100% deceased. He’s been very busy bringing in birds, but I’m sure that once bunny season is in full swing, we’ll be seeing a lot of those. I don’t know which I’d rather be cleaning up – gobs of feathers, or chunks of fur. Yuck.
In other cat news, Stephanie is still hanging on. Her tumor has gotten bigger and is giving her more trouble, but she’s still eating with gusto, climbing on laps, purring when she gets attention, and enjoying the comfort of an unmade bed with her friends. . .
