Perhaps the Beach. . .

Perhaps the Beach. . .

Our contractors aren’t coming. My hair appointment was changed from today to last night. We might, just might, make it to the beach after lunch. I have just the book to sit around and lounge with, too. It’s been so darned hot, I might even make it into the water. I like the ocean, I just have to be in the right mood to want to play in it.

My Least Favorite Shopping.

My Least Favorite Shopping.

It was a lovely day today (aside from the stifling heat), coffee and bagels and the Sunday papers, then off to clay with friends, some chatting afterwards socially, and a perusal of the odds and ends left at the Lakewood Rag Shop. Then. . .

BRA SHOPPING!!!!!

I really need some new ones, and I figured that maybe I’d get some that were a bit more alluring. Victoria’s Secret was having a sale, but only on the bras you need to wear opaque, heavy shirts to wear. The ones that weren’t in neon colors were $50 each. with salesladies on my tail, I rushed out, figuring I’d see what was available at Macy’s on my way back to the car. Needless to say, this search was fruitless as well. In every single style I liked, they had my cup size in one band size too big or one band size too small. In my band size, they had one cup size too big or one cup size too small. They had many in my exact size in the ugly styles and the expensive styles.

Clearly, all the women with my exact same size boobs are many in number, and they all went shopping before I did. In addition, they are women who do not wear ugly undergarments, and they’re savvy shoppers. There must be some connection, as I see it. Forget about astrology, the paper should start running daily predictions based on bra size. Heh.

OK, So I’ll Do It Today. . .

OK, So I’ll Do It Today. . .

I didn’t clean up the sewing table. I did get the groceries and laundry taken care of, but between an almost 2-hour phone conversation with a friend, chatting with the mother of the hostess when dropping Audrey off for a party, and chatting people up at Rag Shop (which was picked bare, but I did manage to snag a whole bunch of patterns for $2.50 each) I just didn’t have enough time! Manohman, I sure do love to talk. Heh.

My fish lady is running late, I hope the dishwasher repair guy isn’t. I’ve opened the blinds, so I should be able to see what I’m doing as I clear off all my clutter. . .but first I need to do three more loads of laundry. Well, just one now. It’s not like I have to stand over the machine for the whole cycle.

Hmmm. I should also have this last cup of coffee. Then maybe lunch. How many other ways can I delay the inevitable, eh? I’m working on it. . .
