It’s a blog!

It’s a blog!

You know, hubby set this up for me.  I would say something erudite at this point, but I can’t.  I think it has something to do with being exposed to the chemical fumes of latex paint, mineral spirits, stain, acrylic floor sealant, household cleansers, und so weiter.  Or it could just be me.

I’m feeling a bit irritated, but not much.  I have been doing move-preparatory stuff in a fairly intense manner over the past week, and even delayed installing my Sims2 Nightlife expansion pack so I could get house-price-improvement work done.  When the stuff was done, I started playing, but at that point, hubby was doing his own hpiwork stuff, and his moment-by-moment updates of the waste of resources and/or money precipatated by the throwing away of stuff that wasn’t going to be moved was just too disturbing to continue my hedonistic game-playing.

I got mine, though.  As a moderator at http://modthesims2.com, I have all kinds of involvement in the cool game-tweaking-type-stuff, so I discussed it at length with the hubby, taking time away from more irritating topics of conversation!!

(Understand that he might be irritatedby sims2 talk, but he can tune it out, so the time he spends ignoring my sims2 talk also has the benefit of taking his mind off what’s really bothering him.  He can think about how much it bothers him to think about meshes and textures and forum rules, and forget all about the packing and moving crap!!!  Life is good!!!)

Here are some of the sites I like to visit!

Local to Northern NJ? Check out one of my favorites, Baristanet! She’s got the scoop in Montclair, Bloomfield, and Glen Ridge, plus all the useful links for the area.

Find some great sites on http://www.webbyawards.com/, all arranged by category, judged on content.

For a good laugh, I visit Japanese Engrish, The Museum of Depressionist Art, or We Made Out in a Tree and This Old Guy Sat and Watched Us.

I’ve found some great places to go on Are We There Yet? It covers all of New Jersey, and some of New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Delaware, and Maryland.

A fellow who covers the ills of the English Language better than I do is Dr. Grammar. You’ll find the answers to most of your grammar questions there.
