Monday, the house had to be cleaned from top to bottom, inside and out. Tuesday was all the preliminary setup for the realtor open house, Wednesday was Gay Gerber’s memorial service (phenomenally well-attended, fully representative of how well she was loved) and much running around while realtors toured my house. The rest of the week we’ve had prospective buyers coming through, often at dinnertime, which means we’ve been spending a fortune eating out. Saturday we were out apple-picking and hanging out with friends out in Succasunna, and Sunday we had tons of home buyers touring the house. Madness. Today, after getting mind and body adjusted and picking up groceries, I’m actually looking forward to a nice, relaxing day of laundry and vacuuming. Sad, eh?

Money and Advertising
Hubby here, looking for some feedback:
Alison.com has been (up til now) advertising free — but I’m thinking of adding some Google AdSense ads to the site (have to pay the bills somehow), and am wondering if it’s a good idea or not.
If anyone out there cares, please leave a comment. Heck, if anyone out there notices, leave a comment….
[update]
Well, the response was an overwhelming silence, so I’ve turned the ads on. Let me know if they are a problem.
RIP, Gay Gerber
I just heard this morning that Gay Gerber, one of the outstanding teachers at Fairview School, succumbed to her illness and passed away. She never gave up, and never compromised her dedication to, or love for, her students. She will be sorely missed, and fondly remembered.
